Job Description
Reports To:
Under direct supervision of Architect G (Associate) or other assigned supervisor.

Summary:
• Plans, schedules, organize, and execute distinct portions of larger projects; or entire portion of smaller projects, with periodic interaction with Associate/s or Associate Partner/s.
• Responsible for various portions of project design including conceptual, schematic, and design phases.
• Responsible for coordination design team including A, B, C, and D level staff members.
• Organizes own work efforts.
• Coordinates work of consultants with architectural documents.
• Assists in supervising project document control tasks and maintains quality control of such tasks.
• Checks and coordinates details and dimensions.
• Performs material research in preparation of project specifications.
• Coordinates with other Senior Architectural Professionals on project to assure continuity and consistency of documentation.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
• Completion of five or six-year architectural degree program;
• Minimum of 7 years experience in design development, architectural design, documentation, and detailing; Large-scale, commercial project experience is required.
• General knowledge of programming and functional adjacencies;
• General knowledge of architectural practice including site-planning, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical engineering, and construction;
• Practical knowledge of building codes;
• General knowledge of local office standards, policies, and procedures;
• Extensive knowledge of architectural design, documentation, detailing, building materials, building codes and construction technologies;
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, 3-D modeling, rendering, word processing, and spreadsheets;
• Demonstrated general knowledge of local office standards, policies and procedures;
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD.
• The ability to communicate orally and in writing.

About The Opportunity
CADapult is now hiring. We are looking for candidates who have hands on industry experience who can provide production and consulting services using AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Revit MEP and Navisworks. Other tasks include training and support for these products.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ability to work with CAD files in various Revit Platforms
• Create Revit MEP (and possibly other applications) content for client projects and manufacturers under the direction of BIM Manager
• Provide training and support to new and existing clients on various Autodesk products
• Support clients by assisting with the development of standards and implementation plans
• Work with a variety of engineers, contractors and subcontractors to provide project coordination
• Produce BIM documentation and workflow standards

Qualifications/Skills:
• MEP designer and or designer familiar with the demands of MEP design
• Experience with duct systems, electrical, plumbing, and piping layouts and designs
• Software skills including Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, QTO, and Microsoft Office (at least 1 year Revit experience on projects preferred)
• Knowledge of typical project workflows and collaboration with other team consultants
• Must exhibit good interpersonal skills and diplomacy
• Professional presence, dress and demeanor
• Local travel required with an occasional overnight currently, however, travel may increase in the future
• College degree preferred

POSITION SUMMARY

The individual selected for this opportunity will be involved with design work on multiple building types and will work closely with Senior Architects and project design teams to understand and deliver on client needs. For maximum success in this role, candidates should have minimum 8 years of professional architecture experience and knowledge of sustainable building practices and the LEED certification process. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong graphic, written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Proficiency with REVIT , AutoCAD and MS Office required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Collaborate and contribute within a multi-discipline environment

· Integrate architecture and engineering elements into an integrated design through the use of BIM. We are currently using Revit Architecture 2012, and working knowledge of this program is essential.

· Preparation of contract documents and specifications.

· Occasional on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.

EDUCATION/ LICENSES

Bachelor or Masters of Architecture

Licensed Architect, or Intern Architect enrolled in IDP and ready to take exams.

LEED Accreditation, preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

· AutoCAD 2008, Revit MEP 2008 (minimum); we are working in Revit MEP 2012 and AutoCAD 2011.

· Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills

· Good inter-personal skills.

· Ability to work as part of a team and to work flexible schedules at times.
Willingness to learn new skills as necessary
